Welcome to the National Council for the Prevention of Drug Abuse website. We are a program designed to bring information and awareness to students on drug abuse and gang activity that has invaded our schools and population.
The NCPDA Program is different from many other school prevention programs, we present facts and statistics about drugs and how they are harmful to kids, and the importance of "just saying no." We share our testimonies and experiences and give them information to help them make logical and rational decisions amidst peer pressure.
We talk to the students on their level. Young men and women from the NCPDA Program present their personal stories to the students so that they can make the right choices in their lives.
Program Goals:
Teach the students on how to make better choices through NCPDA testinonies.
Open discussion on everything from cigarettes, to gangs, alcohol and drugs.
Give students real life examples about the consequences of drug abuse.
Encourage students to ask questions and open dialogue with staff and school administrators.
